New Years Resolutions typically fall into just two categories: Goals we want to achieve or habits we want to break. Things we want to start or things we want to stop. Did it last longer that 90 days? 30 days? A week? How about taking a different approach?
Step 1: Believe that you are okay exactly the way you are. You don't need a bigger house, brighter teeth or new jeans to be good enough. Love what is and let that be your starting point.
Step 2: Create a vision of what you want to be, do or have. How will you know when you get there? What will it feel like? If it doesn't excite you, then it's not a big enough dream.
Step 3: Face the facts: What is in your life right now that supports your vision? What is in your life right now that inhibits your vision?
Step 4: Pick 3 baby steps that you - and you alone - can do within the next 30 days to move you toward your Vision. Not dependent on anyone else's actions or approval.
